The announcement comes a week after Burks capped a 58-0 season with a Class A state title at 120 pounds. The junior jumped up two weight classes entering the season.
Burks won a state title at 106 as a sophomore and he finished fourth at 106 as a freshman.
Burks' brother James, a Northern State recruit, is a four-time state champion.
