State wrestling finals, 2.16

Omaha Burke’s Jakason Burks celebrates his pin over Lincoln East's Nathan Rizek in the Class A 120-pound match on Saturday during the state wrestling tournament at CHI Health Center Omaha.

One of the state's top prep wrestlers is heading to one of the nation's top wrestling programs.

Omaha Burke junior Jakason Burks announced his commitment to Oklahoma State via Twitter on Sunday.

The announcement comes a week after Burks capped a 58-0 season with a Class A state title at 120 pounds. The junior jumped up two weight classes entering the season.

Burks won a state title at 106 as a sophomore and he finished fourth at 106 as a freshman.

Burks' brother James, a Northern State recruit, is a four-time state champion.
