Fallon Stutheit closed a standout high school career with 23 kills in leading No. 3 Johnson-Brock to a 32-30, 15-25, 25-9, 25-23 win against No. 2 Pleasanton in the Class D-1 state volleyball third-place match Saturday at Lincoln Northeast High School.

Stutheit, a Nebraska recruit, also added five blocks and two ace serves for the Eagles (31-4), who had won the previous three Class D-1 state championships.

Freshman Jaydyn Hahn added 10 kills and eight digs, and Hailey Sandfort had 44 set assists for Johnson-Brock.

Isabelle Paitz led Pleasanton (32-4) with 18 kills and 14 digs.

C-1, St. Paul 3, Bishop Neumann 2: Hayley Fox had 31 kills and No. 5 St. Paul (35-2) finished with 150 digs en route to a 23-25, 25-18, 25-14, 19-25, 15-12 win against fourth-ranked Bishop Neumann.

Kelsie Cada led Neumann with 18 kills and 29 digs, and Lindsey Thiele added 16 kills and 32 digs. Alyssa Rezac had 49 set assists for the Cavaliers (30-5).

C-2, Stanton 3, Superior 0: Jessie Brandl had 14 kills and 18 digs to lead lead top-ranked Stanton (31-2) to a 25-12, 25-18, 25-17 victory.

No. 2 Superior (30-4) sophomore Kalynn Meyer had 10 kills and 24 digs.

D-2, Mullen 3, Wynot 2: Alysen Daniels had 19 kills and Courtney Rice added 14 to lead third-ranked Mullen to a 27-25, 17-25, 25-17, 23-25, 19-17 win. The Broncos (29-4) had 12 ace serves, including five apiece from Kaitlyn Crowe and Rice.

Edyn Sudbeck led No. 5 Wynot (24-6) with 13 kills, 16 digs and 15 set assists. Katelyn Heine had 26 digs.
