Southeast Invitational golf, 4.25

Lincoln Southwest's Josh Bartels putts during the Lincoln Southeast Invitational in April at Yankee Hill Golf Course.

Lincoln Southwest graduate Josh Bartels birdied four consecutive holes late in his round to win the U.S. Junior Amateur sectional qualifier at Wild Horse Golf Club in Gothenburg on Tuesday.

Bartels, who will play collegiately at Omaha next year, fired a 4-under 68 to win by two shots over Alec Nachmann of Boca Raton, Florida, and Inigo Izuzquiza of Madrid, California.

Bartels will now prepare for the U.S. Junior Amateur at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, on July 15-20.

The former Silver Hawk made seven birdies and three bogeys during his round, and was sitting at even-par until making birdies at holes 14, 15, 16 and 17 on Wild Horse's back nine. The birdie run followed back-to-back bogeys at Nos. 12 and 13.
