Seward record-breaking quarterback Joseph Krause has committed to continue his football career at Northwest Missouri State beginning next season. He announced his decision Friday night on Twitter.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior led the Bluejays to an 8-3 record and the quarterfinals of the Class B state playoffs this fall by passing for a Class B state record 3,335 yards and 38 touchdowns. His passing yards per game (303.2) and his completions (206) were also single-season B records.

Krause, who connected on 65 percent of his passes this season, rushed for 377 yards and five TDs as a senior. He was also Seward’s punter and averaged 39.5 yards per kick this fall.

Krause finished his career with 7,210 career passing yards and 72 career touchdowns, behind only Northwest senior Carter Terry, the Class B state record holder with 7,382 yards for his career and 80 TD passes.
