One of the state's top football players has completed his search for a college home.

Bellevue West senior running back Jay Ducker announced his commitment to Northern Illinois via Twitter on Wednesday.

Ducker also had offers from Purdue, Army, Texas State, Youngstown State, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Northern Iowa.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder also was receiving interest from several Power Five Conference schools after rushing for 1,813 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior. He rushed for 609 yards and eight touchdowns in the playoffs and was named a first-team Super-Stater.

Ducker received an offer from Northern Illinois in late May after visiting the school.

Ducker enters his senior season with 3,635 career rushing yards and 57 touchdowns.
