Brownell-Talbot held on late for a 55-47 victory over Ashland-Greenwood behind 28 points from Josie Petrulis to win the Class C1-3 subdistrict at Weeping Water.
It was the Raiders' 17th victory, a school single-season record.
Brownell-Talbot led 18-9 after a quarter of play, but the Bluejays cut that deficit to 37-34 after three quarters. Kiara Libal led Ashland-Greenwood and all scorers with 33 points.
C1-1 at Nebraska City: Ashley Teeten had 23 points and Sydnie Reeves added 20 to help Auburn to a 49-30 victory over Falls City. A 14-5 fourth-quarter run helped the Bulldogs seal the deal, who will face Syracuse in the Thursday final after the Rockets defeated Fairbury 44-32. Brooklyn Nordhues 12 points for Syracuse.
C2-3 at Fairbury: Jackie Schelkopf poured in 24 points, including four three-pointers to help Fillmore Central to a 65-43 victory over Sutton. Schelkopf scored 10 of her 24 in the second quarter, behind two three-pointers helping the Panthers to a 34-21 halftime lead. Erin Schmidt added 15 points and Macy Scott 10. The Jets will face Superior on Thursday after Kalynn Meyer had a 27-point performance leading Superior past Thayer Central 56-44. Shayla Meyer added eight points. Chloe Souerdyke led Thayer Central with 14 points.
D2-1 at Auburn: Falls City Sacred Heart ran away from Parkview Christian and finished with a 48-16 victory. A 14-1 Irish run helped build a 29-4 lead at halftime. Lauren Malone, Ahren Ebel and Rachel Magdanz all paced the Irish with six points apiece. Sacred Heart will face Sterling Thursday after the Jets handed Mead a 53-25 defeat. Colby Thies paced Sterling with 12 points, while Malayna Wingert added 11 and Ella Wingert with nine.
D2-2 at Wilber-Clatonia: BDS overcame a 21-point performance from Nebraska Lutheran's Amy Richert, and blasted the Knights 65-35 Thursday in the semifinals. Regan Alfs paced the Storm with 19 points, Macy Kamler added 12 and Reagan Fiala added 10. BDS will face Exeter-Milligan Thursday after the Timberwolves took care of Dorchester 48-41. Kate Jansky had 19 points for Exeter-Milligan and Katherine White added 16.
