Pius X’s Austin Jablonski (32) shoots over Lincoln High’s Graham Newton in the second half on Wednesday during the Heartland Athletic Conference semifinal at Lincoln High School.

It's not going to take too long to figure out the Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament champion on the boys side.

Lincoln Pius X will host Kearney at 7 p.m. Monday, the schools announced Thursday.

Weather delayed the start of the HAC Tournament by two days, pushing the championship games into TBD (to be determined) mode.

Pius X defeated Lincoln High and Kearney outlasted Lincoln East in Wednesday's semifinals, guaranteeing a first-time champion on the boys side. The Thunderbolts and Bearcats are each first-year HAC members.

For Kearney, Monday's game is part of a stretch that will include five games in nine days. Pius X will be playing four games in nine days.

Fremont and Lincoln Southwest are set to meet in the HAC Tournament girls final, but no date and time have been announced as the schools work to find a date that works best for both teams. Southwest, the higher seed, will host the championship game.

Fremont is set to host Southwest in a regular-season contest Jan. 11.
