Lincoln Southwest vs. Lincoln Pius X Girls 2.9

The paths to the girls state basketball tournament for Lincoln Pius X, Lincoln Southwest and Lincoln East will go through their home gyms.

The Thunderbolts, Silver Hawks and Spartans are top seeds in their respective Class A districts, which were released Tuesday.

Pius X will host Omaha Bryan. The Bolts' district includes upstart Lincoln North Star and Omaha Marian.

Lincoln Northeast will play Papillion-La Vista South in the A-7 opening round. If victorious, the Rockets could get a rematch of last week's 60-54 loss against top-ranked Millard North.

Lincoln Southeast (at Omaha Northwest) and Lincoln High (at Kearney) will begin district play on the road.

All semifinals are Feb. 19; all finals at remaining top seed.

A-1: No. 4 Omaha Bryan (0-19) at No. 1 Lincoln Pius X (15-4), 5:30; No. 3 Omaha Marian (9-11) at No. 2 Lincoln North Star (10-10), 7; Feb. 21--Final, 6:30.

A-2: No. 4 Omaha South (2-19) at No. 1 Millard South (17-3), 5:30; No. 3 Lincoln High (10-11) at No. 2 Kearney (13-9), 5:30; Feb. 21--Final, 5:30.

A-3: No. 4 Bellevue East (3-18) at No. 1 Lincoln Southwest (17-4), 7; No. 3 Lincoln Southeast (8-12) at No. 2 Omaha Northwest (11-10), 6; Feb. 21--Final, 7.

A-4: No. 4 Omaha Central (4-17) at No. 1 Lincoln East (15-5), 5:30; No. 3 Gretna (7-11) at No. 2 Omaha Benson (15-5), 5; Feb. 21--Final, 7.

A-5: No. 4 Grand Island (2-19) at No. 1 Omaha Westside (18-4), 6:30; Omaha Burke (10-10) at No. 2 Millard West (11-9), 5:30; Feb. 21--Final, 7.

A-6: No. 4 Omaha North (6-13) at No. 1 Papillion-La Vista (18-4), 5:15; No. 3 Bellevue West (8-13) at Fremont (16-6), 6:30; Feb. 21--Final, 7.
