Texas A&M baseball practice, 6/16

Texas A&M player Logan Foster — a Lincoln Southwest graduate — warms up with some long tossing during practice for the College World Series at TD Ameritrade Park in 2017.

After three seasons at Texas A&M, outfielder Logan Foster has entered his name into the transfer portal, D1 Baseball's Kendall Rogers reported Saturday.

Foster, a Lincoln Southwest graduate, was a three-year mainstay in the Aggie lineup, starting 44 of 52 games as a freshman, 55 of 58 games as a sophomore and 54 games as a junior. Foster batted .263 with four homers, nine doubles, 32 RBIs and 32 runs scored this past season. He hit a grand slam in an NCAA regional win against West Virginia.

He batted .287 over three seasons, including .314 as a freshman when the Aggies reached the College World Series.

Foster's hitting coach at Texas A&M was Will Bolt, who was recently named head coach at Nebraska.

The right-handed Foster was a two-time Super-State selection at Southwest.
