WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- MJ Melendez hit a walk-off two-run homer in the eighth inning, as the Wilmington Blue Rocks defeated the Salem Red Sox 2-1 in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Blue Rocks and a three-game winning streak for the Red Sox.

Rudy Martin also scored on the home run after he started the inning on second.

The Red Sox took a 1-0 lead in the top of the eighth when Edgar Corcino hit an RBI single, driving in Marcus Wilson.
