Like Danny Langsdorf, Reggie Davis comes to Nebraska after spending some time in the NFL.
Davis, who played tight end for Riley with the San Diego Chargers, spent the past four seasons working under Jim Harbaugh with the San Francisco 49ers.
Before Davis landed in the NFL, he coached running backs for Riley at Oregon State from 2008-10.
Those were the same three years Jacquizz Rodgers ran wild for the Beavers, totaling almost 3,877 yards and 1,056 receiving yards, with 51 touchdowns.
At San Francisco, Davis coached tight end Vernon Davis, who caught 13 touchdowns and earned Pro Bowl honors in 2013.
Davis coached running backs for three seasons at UNLV and coached tight ends for Harbaugh at San Diego.
