CLUB NOTICE

The Lincoln Trap and Skeet and Sporting Clays Club, 4805 N. 48th St.,  is forming summer trap leagues. Individuals and five-member teams are welcome. Contact: Mike Watmore, 402-310-8187.

Hunting season closes — light goose conservation order, East Zone.

Applications open — bighorn sheep permit lottery.

WEDNESDAY

Archery event — College Night on the Range, 8:30-10 p.m. Wednesdays when UNL is in session, Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, 4703 N. 44th St. Cost: $5 per night or $80 per semester (must show valid college ID). Equipment and instruction available.

Meeting — Cornhusker Fly Fishers, 7 p.m., Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center, 4703 N. 44th St. Speaker: Marissa Jensen, Project Mayfly.

THURSDAY

Workshop — Cornhusker Fly Fishers fly-tying roundtable, 6-7:45 p.m., Gere Library, 2400 S. 56th St.

SATURDAY

Fishing event — Cornhusker Fly Fishers Fish-Out, Weeping Water city park. Lunch at noon, fishing before and after.

Workshop — Becoming an Outdoors-Woman: Experience Platte River State Park, 9 a.m. Saturday-5 p.m. Sunday.
