I strongly urge voters in Lancaster County District 5 to vote for Rick Vest for county commissioner this November.
I had the pleasure to work with Rick during his employment with BNSF. I was always impressed by Rick’s commitment to civility, common sense and consensus building.
With a background as both a blue-collar union employee and company claims representative, Rick always put forth his best effort to be fair, to listen and to approach complex issues with an open mind. Rick also has experience as a mediator where he is able to utilize his talents to bring together opposite sides of a dispute for a common solution.
I am excited to see Rick bring these same attributes to his campaign. He is committed to doing his best to make local government work for the hard-working families of Lancaster County. Rick has led by example with his long-term commitment to invest in our community.
This is on display by Rick’s effort to make criminal justice reform one of his key campaign issues. He understands the need to find practical, common-sense solutions that will have a long-term benefit to the community as a whole, rather than short-term solutions that are politically expedient.
Rick’s background and talents will be major assets in helping our community enjoy a future that builds on its strengths and addresses challenges with comprehensive, creative solutions. The best choice you can make for District 5 is to vote Vest.
