This is in response to the article proposing the new type of intersection on U.S. 81 ("State will try unique road design," Oct. 13), and to those who argue against it.
Too often, the average person believes that he or she knows better than those who have dedicated their lives to a specialization. There is no shame in deferring to a subject matter expert, and we should do it more often.
