Gov. Pete Ricketts has described the House impeachment inquiry as an effort to “subvert the will of the American people" (“Ricketts attacks Trump impeachment inquiry,” Oct. 4).

However, according to the Official 2016 Presidential General Election Results, Clinton received 2,868,691 more votes from the American people than Trump. It was the election in the Electoral College that made Trump president.
