Regarding the letter by Marshall Lux ("Trump defies 'will of America people,'" Oct. 8), perhaps Mr. Lux forgot about the Electoral College when he mentioned his second point about President Donald Trump losing the popular vote by 2.8 million votes in 2016.

Popular vote doesn't elect presidents in this country. As Mr. Lux indicated in his letter, a civics lesson may indeed be warranted.
