The Nebraska men opened Sunday with a 4-0 win against Omaha. Toby Boyer and Will Gleason teamed up to beat Omaha's Abdoul Ouattara and Davis Lawley at No. 1 doubles. Micah Klousia (No. 2), Victor Moreno Lozano (No. 4) and Issac Nortey (No. 5) led the Huskers with singles wins. With the match clinched, NU's Toby Boyer (No. 1), Gleason (No. 3) and Alvaro Moreno Lozano (No. 6) did not finish their matches. Nebraska later picked up a 4-2 win over Creighton where Gleason picked up his fourth victory of the season with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph over Creighton's Armando Gandini at No. 3 singles. Boyer added another win (No. 1). Victor Moreno Lozano (No. 4) gave the Huskers the lead for good at 3-2, and Michah Klousia (No. 2) sealed the deal with a 6-4, 6-4 win over the Bluejays' Stratton Brown.
GOLF: The Nebraska women shot a 304 to sit in a tie for 12th place in the season-opening Lady Puerto Rico Classic on Sunday in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Junior Kate Smith and sophomore Noor Ahmed each shot 2-over-par 74s to sit tied for 22nd. No. 7 Arkansas has the overall team lead at 289.
BOWLING: Nebraska had a strong showing Sunday for a second-place finish at the Sunshine State Classic in Orlando, but allowed Stephen F. Austin to rally in the championship match after the Huskers took the first three in the best-of-seven format (223-209, 207-197, 204-190). Nebraska junior Allison Morris led all individuals with a 225.8 average and fellow junior Raquel Orozco added a ninth-place finish with an average of 206.
