The Nebraska baseball team will hold its annual Red-White Series this week at Haymarket Park.
The three-game series begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Game 2 is at 4 p.m. Thursday and Game 3 is at 4 p.m. Friday. Admission is free and gates will open at 3 p.m.
All three games will go five innings each.
The Huskers will conclude the fall exhibition season with a home game against Kansas at 1 p.m. Oct. 19.
Nebraska is beginning its first season under head coach Will Bolt.
GOLF: The Nebraska men completed the final round at the Maridoe Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon with a 10th-place team finish and overall score of 919. Tanner Owen led the Huskers for the third straight tournament with a three-round score of 225, good for a tie in 12th, his second straight top-15 finish. Tom Westenberger had his best finish as a Husker; he tied for 14th with a three-round, career-best score of 226. Nebraska will finish the fall season at the Royal Oaks Invitational in Dallas at the Royal Oaks Golf Club on Oct. 21-22. ...The Husker women are in a tie for 10th place with a score of 317 at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Sammamish, Washington. Kate Smith leads the Huskers, shooting a 5-over 77 to tie for 22nd. Megan Whittaker and Leah Herzog each shot 7-over 79 and are tied in 34th. The tournament has been shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather and round two, as well as the event, will finish on Wednesday.
