Not bad for an old pine tree farm. Not bad at all.

Woodland Hills Golf Course in Eagle is still one of the most popular courses in Nebraska. There is no place like it.

Every year since 1994, Woodland Hills has made Golf Digest’s list of Best Places to Play. And those 18 memorable holes are back for more in 2018.

“The staff at Woodland Hills is very excited about the upcoming golf season,” said Tom Erlandson, PGA professional. “We have added quite a few new pieces of equipment to keep the course looking great for all of our players. And, as always we will be focusing on customer service in the clubhouse.”

Nebraska golfers know that the Eagle course is a special place. It has been rated as one of the top courses in the state for many years, and it has been nationally recognized as well.

Woodland Hills, which is about 15 miles east of Lincoln, is one of the most picturesque courses in the region. Pine trees cover the landscape, and there are six holes where water comes into play.

In addition to the scenery, Woodland Hills offers the latest technology – GPS computers on all carts – to help you track yardage to the pin, obstacles to avoid, and whether you like it or not, your score.

Woodland Hills is also known as one of the top area courses for leagues, events and charity golf outings, especially if you have folks coming from both Lincoln and Omaha.

Woodland Hills has a GolfBoard, too. A little like a surfboard, it is an electric vehicle that can carry you and your clubs while you are standing. You can learn more at

“This will be our third year with it,” Erlandson said, “and we were the first course in Nebraska to have one for rent.”

The Woodland Hills junior golf school starts in early June, and don’t forget to visit the course website to sign up for the Birthday Club.

“We will always do our best to provide the best course conditions possible, with a friendly face(s) to get you to the first tee,” Erlandson said. “See you at Woodland Hills.”
