Tabitha and Lincoln’s Gateway Sertoma Club will join forces June 2 for the 15th annual Gateway Sertoma Golf Event at Lincoln’s HiMark Golf Course. The event will raise funds for Tabitha's Meals on Wheels.
Tournament registration is open and includes a four-person scramble, lunch, drink tickets, steak dinner and prizes. Participants can expect registration, lunch and range time beginning at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
Tabitha Meals on Wheels serves more than 500 individuals in the Lincoln community daily. Seventy percent of recipients are unable to afford the $6.25 cost of a meal. As Tabitha has made a point to turn no one away from a warm meal, contributions like those from the Gateway Sertoma golf event are instrumental in keeping the program operational.

Gateway Sertoma was founded as a service club over 50 years ago. The group’s mission of “service to mankind” motivates members to volunteer service and fundraising for community programs in need. The group marries their love of service with their love of golf by hosting an annual charity golf tournament. Members turned to Tabitha to help operate the tournament with proceeds benefiting first Tabitha Hospice and later Tabitha Meals on Wheels.
