The beginning of Dennis Unruh's round of golf couldn't have started any better.
You could say that it was out-of-sight start to the round.
When club pro Steve Donald asked Unruh if he saw his tee shot on No. 1 at the Pine Lake Golf Course make its way into the hole, the club member said: "No, I can't see that far!"
"So, it was another case of a guy that hits it out of sight!" joked Donald.
The ace, coming on the last day of November, was just the fourth reported from the more than 10,500 rounds recorded at Pine Lake Golf in 2017.
Witnessing the ace on the 152-yard hole were Randy Malone and Lee Pasco. Unruh used a #6 hybrid to sink his tee shot.
