Thirty teams competed June 18 in a 2-person team Stableford event at Pioneers Golf Course on Father's Day.
Teams were open to members and their guests of all ages both sexes. The goal was to accumulate the most points in this format. Points were awarded based on the net best score of the team. Double-eagles were worth 8 points, eagles were worth 5, birdies were 3, pars were 1, bogies were 0, double bogies (or worse) were -1.
The weather was perfect, and the scores showed it.

After the tournament, teams raved about the meal of ribs, brisket and pulled pork from Hickory Road BBQ.
The next tournament is the LMGA Individual Stroke Play next weekend (July 15-16). This is a members-only event at the Mahoney and Highlands courses. It'll be a great time to prep for Men's City Tournament to be held two weeks later.
Entry forms are available at all four city courses or sign up online at lmgagolf.org.
