A total of 61 players endured the heat and humidity for the 2-day LMGA Stroke Play Championship held July 15 at Mahoney Golf Course and July 16 at Highlands Golf Course. The course conditions were excellent and great scores were recorded in all flights.

Alex Svehla won the championship flight with a two-day score of 5-under-par total of 137. Ben Svehla took 2nd with a score of 1-under-par 141 after recording a sizzling low score of the tournament with a 67 on day 2.

Youth-adult event July 30-31

The next LMGA event is a Youth-Adult Scotch Twosome Alternate Shot on July 30-31 at Jim Ager Memorial Golf Course. Shotgun starts are at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. Entry forms are available at the course.

Following the Youth/Adult is the LMGA Shamble on Aug. 12 at Pioneers Golf Course. Tee times start at 8 a.m. Entry forms are available at all city courses or register at lmgagolf.org.
