OMAHA – Amanda Reinert, 26, of Omaha captured the title of Mrs. Nebraska/America 2014 in front of a sold-out crowd at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center downtown Omaha.
Reinert competed against 14 other married women aged 26 to 48 to capture the crown. Her platform includes advocating for children through the Nebraska Children’s Home Society.
She is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in history and politics/law and holds a Master of Arts degree in communications. Reinert will represent Nebraska at the national Mrs. America Pageant in early fall 2014.
First runner-up was Billie Papuchis of Lincoln, who also won the Physical Fitness, Interview and Jan Wilcoxen awards. Lindsay Colwell of Bellevue was second runner up, capturing the People’s Choice, Spirit, Leadership and Evening Gown awards, Anna Peters of Omaha, as third runner-up, won the Entourage and Photogenic award; Shannon Jones of Papillion was fourth runner-up.
Reinert is a resource development manager at Modis, Inc. She and her husband Brady have been married 2.5 years and have a daughter.
