The Lincoln Women’s Golf Association's fourth event of the season, the Cha-Cha-Cha, brought 52 women to Mahoney Golf Course on July 22. The field was the largest turnout that was not a guest day event.
The Cha-Cha-Cha format is a four-person team event. Each golfer plays her own ball throughout the hole. On the par 3’s the two lowest net scores are the team's score; on par 4’s, the three lowest net scores; and on the par 5’s. the four lowest net scores.
Jodi Nelson had a hole-in-one on No. 17; she used a 13 wood to ace the 131-yard hole.
The winning team of Becky Hansen, Canice Kobus, Joyce McClure and Shelly Herrod shot 210; the second place team of Jodi Nelson, Karen Flowers, Donna May and Alice Skultedy was 13 strokes back at 223.

3rd place - Tami Vanderbeek, Joleyn Stacy, Ginny Phillips, Deanna Stranathan, 224; 4th place - Susan Feely, Callen Frenzel, Tammy Poe and Sherrie Nelson, 230; 5th place - Carol Zubrod, Deb Oman, Christi Schroff and Arleen Stubblefield, 231; 6th place - Susan Pallas Duncan, Susan Holland, Peggy Fortner and Deb Holland, 236; 7th place - Sandie Gonnerman, Bonny Jolly, Linda Perry and Deby Beck, 239.
The LWMGA's next event is the Club Championship, featuring individual stroke play and scheduled Aug. 26 at Mahoney Golf Course and Aug. 27 at Pioneers Golf Course.
