A Lunch and Learn meeting for nonprofit volunteer coordinators will take place Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Child Advocacy Center, 5025 Garland St.
Social media is a part of many people’s lives. It can be a great place to share news. Discussion will include tips on how to navigate both positive and negative comments on Facebook, Twitter and more.
Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties’ Heather Loughman, communications and development director, and Georgann Roth, volunteer resources coordinator/foster grandparent program director, will lead the discussion.
"Our lunch and learns provide an opportunity for nonprofits to learn and share ideas," said Randy Hawthorne, VolunteerLinc executive director. "Social media is used by so many people. This is a great topic for discussion about how volunteers can help nonprofits. Engaging with volunteers is a popular topic.”
Lunch will be provided. Reservations are required at volunteerlinc.org.
