One of the highlights of the Aug. 22 Fun Day for the Lincoln Senior Men’s Golf League was recognizing the division winners for 2018.
The number of full-time league members increased again this year, and there was spirited competition across each level. Low gross score for the year was 66 recorded by Terry Smith, while the low net score was a 54 by Jerry Campbell. In Division 20, which is the nine-hole competition, the low gross was 37 shot by Roger Coleman, while the low net was 29 by Mark Bieber and Roger Coleman.
Five holes-in-one were recorded during league division play: Doug Emery, June 16 on #7 at Pioneers; George Haessler, July 13 on #9 at Mahoney; Bud Dahlstrom, Aug. 1 on #14 at Highlands; Rick Owens, Aug. 1 on #7 at Highlands; and Denny Lacquement, Aug. 8 on #6 at Mahoney.
