One of the highlights of the Aug. 23 Fun Day for the Lincoln Senior Men’s Golf League was recognition of the division winners for 2017. Full-time league members increased again this year, and there was spirited competition across each level.
Low gross score for the year was 67 recorded by Rick Owens; low net score was a 56 by Mark Pankoke. In Division 18 + 19, which are the nine-hole competitions, the low gross was 38 shot by Al Delano while the low net was 29 by Gary Beetem, Al Delano, Alan Blaha and Duane Haerthen.
There were three holes-in-one during league play: Patrick Swift on Holmes #3 July 26, Lloyd Probasco on Highlands #14 July 31, and Gregg Oberg on Highlands #8 July 5.
