Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company's Summer Dance Camp returns to the Temple Building on UNL's City Campus July 29 - Aug. 3.

Another busy summer for children's activities will be here before you know it.

Here's a partial list of kids' activities in Lincoln:

• Mastering the Art of Theatre Camp. Children will create, rehearse and perform a scene in one week. Dates: June 10-14, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Ages: 5-13. Tuition: $125. (LUX members: $100).

• Creative Genius: Art and Science Camp. Children work with a different instructor and media each day, while exploring the connections between science and art. Dates: July 8-13, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., ages 5-9, 2 to 5 p.m., ages 10-13. Tuition: $125 (LUX members: $100).

• Exploring the Art Box Camp. Children will work with a box filled with paints, brushes, pastels, clay and other materials to create a different project each day. Color theory, basic techniques and having fun are the primary focuses. Dates: Aug. 5-9, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., ages 5-9; 2 to 5 p.m., ages 10-13. Tuition: $125 (LUX members: $100).

• Kids Classes. Ages: 5-9 and 10-13. Classes are offered in ceramics, pottery, painting and drawing, printmaking and textiles. Small classes, with qualified instructors and standards-based lesson plans. Tuition: $65-$75; need-based scholarships available.
