Gallardo hits a hole-in-one at Highlands

George Gallardo (pictured in white, holding up his golf club) pulled the 6-iron from his bag May 4 at Highlands Golf Course and hit a tee shot 186 yards to the No. 14 green, where the ball continued to roll in for a hole-in-one. He is pictured here with (from left) Brett Dougherty, Mark Wieting and John Klukas. The other member of the five-some, Mike Schmidt (who hit his own hole-in-one March 6 at LaQuinta, California), shot the photo. According to Schmidt, "I hit a nice 5-wood, but George kills a high baby draw 6-iron, and it rolls out approximately 35 feet for an incredible hole-in-one. For sure, that was a PGA type ace, so yours truly got free beer at the 19th hole."
