Give to Lincoln Day!
Wine & Howl!
With the warm days of summer just ahead, Lincoln Animal Ambassadors has three ways to help the cause of animal welfare.
Shoes aren't just chew toys! Lincoln Animal Ambassadors has undertaken a shoe drive to collect shoes now through June 1. If Lincoln Animal Ambassadors meets that goal, it will receive $1,000. Funds2orgs will take the collected shoes to micro-enterprises in developing countries such as Haiti, Honduras, and Bolivia. Please consider donating shoes you or a family member are no longer wearing. Men's, women's, children's shoes, sandals, boots, and slippers are welcomed. The only type that cannot be accepted are those with holes in the toes. What could be better than a fundraiser that will help both people and animals? Bring shoes to any of these drop-off locations:

Give to Lincoln Day
Please show your support for our services May 18 by pulling out your wallet that day. For 24 hours, donations to local nonprofits will be matched. It’s that one special day when everyone is asked to show their support for the organizations that contribute so much to Lincoln. Gifts can be made at GiveToLincoln.com from midnight to 11:59 p.m., or in person at the Lincoln Community Foundation office, 215 Centennial Mall, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The minimum donation is $10.
Wine & Howl
The ninth annual Wine & Howl is June 3 at Deer Springs Winery, 16255 Adams St. Enjoy the best parts of summer at a fantastic afternoon event. You won’t want to miss the raffle prizes: gift baskets with products from local businesses and individuals. Bring your dog, a blanket or lawn chair, and join animal lovers for an afternoon of food, wine, and music. Looking for a new canine companion? Many of the area’s rescue organizations will bring dogs in need of forever homes. With a suggested donation of just $8, there’s no reason not to attend. The wine will start pouring at 11 a.m., and the bands will play until 5 p.m.
Who we are
Lincoln Animal Ambassadors addresses the root causes of animal homelessness in the Lancaster County by helping pets and their people through a voucher-based, low-cost spay/neuter program, a low-cost vaccination clinic, and a temporary assistance pet food bank. The group also offers education through our blog (https://lincolnanimalambassadors.wordpress.com) and at community events.
Lincoln Animal Ambassadors is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization funded entirely by donations and fundraisers.
