You’re invited to spend a fun Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 25 at Streets Alive!, hosted in the East Campus, Clinton, and Hartley neighborhoods.
Streets Alive! is a free outdoor movement festival that encourages families to get up and get moving over two miles of streets closed to motorized traffic. You can walk, bike, skate, and even dance your way down a route lined with nearly 100 exhibitors providing free health resources in a fun and interactive way with music, dance, art, sports and fitness demonstrations interspersed along the route.
The festival includes walking and biking trails, parks, playgrounds, community gardens, local businesses, tasty and fresh food from farmers’ markets and local food trucks. Look for special guests on the basketball courts at Clinton School and Peter Pan Park.
You can enter or exit anywhere along the route. The event is family, child, pet, and wheelchair-friendly. The event is sponsored by Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln. You can a route map and entertainment schedule at HealthyLincoln.org/streetsalive.
