The 10th annual Golfing for a Reason raised over $25,000 last month for the Aiding Angels Foundation, which provides free professional residential cleaning services for individuals (women, men, and children) undergoing cancer treatments. The tournament was held Aug. 26 at Highlands Golf Course in northwest Lincoln.
"It was a full tournament and lots of fun had by all," reported tournament spokeswoman Brenda Schwery, president of Maid To Please Inc. and founder of the Aiding Angels Foundation. She thanked the tournament sponsors: Saving Seniors Money Jim Schueth, Infinity Promotions, DuTeau Chevrolet, Star Digital Print, MaidEasy Software, Unico, Maid To Please, and the Bushwood Bunch. She also thanked the donors of pin prizes and auction items.
Miss Teen Nebraska Samantha Washington announced the ball drop winner was Jeff Asselin. Flight winners were:
