Roland Temme, founder, owner and CEO of TMCO (Total Manufacturing Company), has become the 96th recipient of the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln – Lincoln Center Distinguished Service Award.
The longtime Lincoln businessman received the award during a Sept. 7 recognition luncheon at the Nebraska Club, 13th and M streets. Lincoln Center Kiwanis has presented the award nearly every year since 1922 with the exception of 1941 and 1949.
TMCO, established in 1974 and located at 701 S. Sixth St., is a one-stop, concept-to-completion metal manufacturing plant. TMCO employs 200 workers from 30 countries around the world and manufactures 300,000 parts per month distributed worldwide.
Attendees at the luncheon included six past recipients of the Distinguished Service Award (year in parentheses): Beatty Brasch (2006), Dr. Marilyn Moore (2009), Nick Cusick (2011), Dayle Williamson (2014), John Chapo (2015) and Liz Shea-McCoy (2017).
Williamson and Chapo are members of the Lincoln Center Kiwanis Club, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary March 19, 2019.
