The Bryan Health Kids’ Club hit the road and slid into Haymarket Park June 9 for Home Run for Health with the Lincoln Saltdogs. Nearly 3,000 people participated in the summer event, making it the most-attended Home Run for Health ever.
The annual event is an honored tradition at Bryan. It involves organizations and businesses from throughout the Lincoln community. This year, families in attendance experienced a meet-and-greet with Lincoln Saltdogs players, almost three dozen interactive health and safety activities, bounce houses and play areas.
After pre-game festivities, fans saw the Lincoln Saltdogs defeat the Salina Stockade, 10-5. The victory was the ninth straight home win for the club. After the triumph, the crowd was treated to a special fireworks show.
