The Arts for the Soul music and fine arts series at First Presbyterian Church held its annual “Sing from the Heart” dessert concert Oct. 5, raising nearly $4,000 for Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity.
This annual event features the First Presbyterian Choir with local guest soloists. Joining the event this year were local tenor Malley Keelan and guitarist Daniel Martinez.
With the themes “Home” and “Homeland,” guests contributed a freewill donation to Habitat for Humanity. Special guest speakers from Habitat for Humanity included Rev. Dr. Ronald Bump, 2014 board of directors president, and Michele Williamson, executive director.
In addition to wonderful music and great speakers, the evening included fabulous desserts.
In conjunction with this event, the First Presbyterian Choir also sang an abbreviated version of the concert with a sing-a-long at The Legacy at 5600 Pioneers Blvd. on Oct. 8.
