Home security company Vivint has agreed to donate $50,000 to be split between two Nebraska charities as part of an agreement with the state of Nebraska.

The Provo, Utah, business, formerly known as APX Alarm Security Solutions Inc., agreed to an assurance of voluntary compliance.

In exchange, the Nebraska Attorney General's office said the company shall not make any misrepresentations on subjects ranging from claims of discounts for customers who put signs in their yards, criminal activity in an area unless it's true and of other security companies going out of business.

According to Lancaster County District Court records, the money is to be split between Tabitha Inc.'s Meals on Wheels Program and Hear Nebraska Inc.
