Butler County Sheriff Thomas Dion has identified the 51-year-old Dwight man who died early Tuesday in a rollover crash as David Krafka.

Deputies were called out just after midnight Monday to Nebraska 66 and Q Road, 2 miles west of Dwight, about a vehicle that had rolled. They found Krafka, who had been thrown from his vehicle.

Rescue workers tried to save Krafka, but he died a short time later from his injuries.

Dion said the Butler County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the crash. He said alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor, and Krafka wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
