Try 3 months for $3

BEATRICE — Firefighters spent three hours Tuesday night battling a blaze caused by an electrical fire in the cab of a combine at the LandMark Implement building in north Beatrice.

On Wednesday, crews were working to clear out the building and storefront of the John Deere dealership to get a better idea of the damage.

Most of the smoke and flames were contained to the shop area, which is about 70 by 200 feet and housed combines, tractors and other equipment. Damage is expected to be significant.

The fire call came in about 9 p.m. Tuesday, and flames were visible to drivers on U.S. 77. Firefighters cleared the area at 12:33 a.m.
