The Nebraska State Patrol issued an Amber Alert on Wednesday for a 6-week-old girl believed to have been abducted in western Nebraska.
Betty Zamora was taken from Cheyenna Villa apartments in Sidney, the patrol said. The alert did not say when she was last seen.
The girl, who has black hair, might be in the company of her parents, Maria V. Campa, 37, and Carlos V. Zamora Jr., 41, according to the patrol.
Campa is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-7 and 200 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. Zamora is described as Hispanic, 5-10 and 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. They might be traveling in a light-colored, medium-sized SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition or Explorer.
The patrol says arrest warrants have been issued for both, accusing them of felony custody violations, and that Zamora has a history of resisting law enforcement.
Court records show that the state took temporary custody of the girl last month, soon after her birth, after she tested positive for methamphetamine.
People with information on Betty's whereabouts are encouraged to call 911 or the Sidney Police Department at 308-254-5515.
