Two Nebraska state senators have signed court papers in support of the Arizona law designed to crack down on illegal immigration and that has been mostly blocked by a judge.
Sens. Charlie Janssen of Fremont and Tony Fulton of Lincoln said Wednesday they had signed onto court briefs that were scheduled to be submitted to a federal appeals court Wednesday. The briefs were to be filed by State Legislators for Legal Immigration, a national group to which Fulton and Janssen belong.
Janssen has said in recent months he plans to introduce an Arizona-style law to the Legislature when it convenes in January.
He reiterated those plans on Wednesday.
