Omaha man charged with manslaughter in woman's crash death

OMAHA — Edward D. Purvis Jr., 26, of Omaha, was charged Monday with felony manslaughter and ordered held on $200,000 bail for the death of a passenger in his vehicle that crashed Friday. 

He must pay 10%, or $20,000, to be released from the Douglas County Jail.

Lepree-Ava Carroll Fansler, 23, was ejected when the 2008 BMW sedan rolled near 49th Street and the Northwest Radial. She was declared dead at a local hospital.
