The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to help paint bridges at Union Plaza, 21st and Q streets, from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers will meet at the parking lot north of the intersection.
Volunteers should register in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or visiting parks.lincoln.ne.gov/volunteer. New volunteers are asked to complete the online volunteer application form.
Painting supplies will be provided.
Participants should wear comfortable shoes and clothes that are appropriate for painting and the weather. Registered volunteers will be notified of a rain date. The event is part of the 2018 volunteer in parks Saturday series.
