Vera Morine (Trimble) Burchett, 94, of Lincoln, passed away June 9, 2019. She was born March 21, 1925 to Olna and Anna Florence (Long) Trimble in Harrisburg, MO. She was married to Milton Frank Burchett on December 23, 1943 at Springfield, MO, they celebrated 68 years together. She was known as Vera by many friends in her later years and as Morine by many friends from earlier years.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at First National Bank, Ellis Holyoke Investments, and at Wentz Heating and Air Conditioning. She was an active member of Temple Baptist Church for many years and served as financial secretary there. She lived in Aurora from 2010 to 2015. She was famous among family and friends for her Christmas dinners, her interest in politics, and in later years, her support and love for Mike Evans ministries, especially the Jerusalem Prayer Team.
Survivors include her daughters, Marsha Kay (John) Hurst and Connie Diane (Warren) Lyon; grandchildren, Christopher (Rebekah) Lyon, Joshua (Amy) Lyon, Mitchell (Sarah) Lyon, Scott (Marly) Hurst, Matthew (Amy) Loos, and Jeff (Stacey) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Samuel Lyon, Max Lyon, Ruby Lyon, Norah Lyon, Theodore Lyon, Jack Lyon, Walter Lyon, Kailey Lancer, Maizy Hurst, Hayden Hurst, Beth Loos, Josie (Eli Denton) Loos, Breanna Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Kaden Berge and Hunter Berge. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, and brothers Oren Eugene (Rosella) Trimble and Robert Elmo (Vera) Trimble.
Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until time of service on Friday at Lincoln Memorial. Memorials are suggested to Mike Evans Ministries. Theodore “Ted” Edward Maser

Theodore “Ted” Edward Maser, 75 of Lincoln, passed away June 9, 2019. Ted was born on September 17, 1943 to Theodore and Pauline (Grasmick) Maser in Lincoln, NE. Graduated from Lincoln High in 1961. Attended UNL and graduated from US Navy's Electronics Technician “A” school. Served, with distinction, aboard several ships including U.S.S. Mark in the river waters of Vietnam.
Married Sherrill Ebke on March 13, 1971 at Faith Lutheran Church. They were blessed with three children and enjoyed six grandchildren. He had membership at Faith Lutheran for many years and currently at Calvary Lutheran. He was an avid woodworker and loved reading a good book.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jackie (Maser) Dell and brother-in-law, Bud Dell. He is survived by wife of 48 years, Sherrill; son Todd (Kirsten) Maser of Deer Park, WA; son Tony (Christie) Maser and children, Bella, Parker and CeCe Crisman of Elkhorn, NE; and daughter Stacie (Dave) Potthoff and children, Tyler, Nyah and Trey of Gretna, NE; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2788 Franklin St, Lincoln. Sarah ‘Sally' A. Waddle, 83, of Lincoln, died June 8, 2019 in Lincoln. She was born July 20, 1935 in Lincoln to Paul & Beatrice (Cunningham) Gaughan. She graduated from UNL's College of Business in 1957. She was co-owner of Letterguide Co. with her Husband, later worked at UNL's Administration Office. Members of Cathedral Church, Rolling Turtles Camping Club and National Campers & RVers.
Sally is survived by her children Dan Waddle (wife, Angie), Scott Waddle all of Lincoln, and Sharon Clement (husband, Wade) of Windsor, CO; grandchildren, Tiffany Wadell (husband, Jared), Amy Flamminio (husband, Thomas), Samantha Waddle, Gregory Waddle (wife, Rachelle), Taylor Dunn (husband, Jordan), Shayna Clement, Mitchell Clement, Maria Waddle, and Sara Waddle (fiancé, Matt); great grandchildren, Ella, Nina, & Juliana Flamminio, Everly & Josiah Wadell, and Lily, Caeli, & Mia Waddle. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Waddle; and brother, Joe Gaughan.

Diana Worick age 60, passed away Tuesday June 4, 2019 in Lincoln. Diana was born in Fairbury, Ne on July 1, 1958. Diana graduated from Lincoln High in 1977. Diana married George Worick on August 14, 2004.
Diana is survived by her husband George, daughters, Shannon Williams, Jessica (Kenny) Hicks and sons, Roger (Ani) Vaughn, Shawn Vaughn, Joseph (Karen) Gandara, Ramon (Chelsie) Gandara, Corey (Michelle) Gandara and 27 grand kids and two great grand kids.

Charles F. Fitzke, 89, of Omaha, died on June 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.Mr. Fitzke was born on August 2, 1929 to Fredric & Elizabeth Fitzke in Harvard, NE. Charles graduated from Sutton High School, served in the military during the Korean War as a First Lieutenant in the Artillery Division. He attended law school at the University of Nebraska and graduated in 1953.
He practiced law in Scottsbluff County, NE. During his career, he held several positions including County Attorney, Public Defender, County Coroner and served on the Mental Health Board. Charles married Elinor Schlaebitz on July 29, 1949.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elinor; sister, Bernita.Survived by his children, Brian (Kim) Fitzke, Joe (Resa) Fitzke, Linda (Doug) Cook, Jon (Kim) Fitzke; sister, Donna Hinrichs; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Bette Diane Rathe, 68, died June 8 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born April 14, 1951 in Waverly, Iowa to Roland Stephen Rathe and Lilah E. (Frederick) Rathe. Bette graduated from Kearney High School in 1969. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and her Master's Degree from Emporia State University.
She was with the public school systems in Shelton and Hastings, Nebraska and Sterling, Colorado. She spent 9 years at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD and finally was Associate Professor Emerita of University Libraries at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She retired in 2016 to Lincoln where she was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Bette was a proficient violinist and played with several orchestras throughout her life.
She is survived by her brother, William Randall Rathe (Sandra) of Lincoln. Nieces, Donna (John) DeMarco of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Pamela (Lester) Miller of Ankeny, Iowa. Nephews, Clark (Catherine) Rathe of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Grant (Amanda) Rathe of Mount Dora, Florida; and Nolan (fiancé, Jasmine Nguyen) Rathe of Lincoln. She is also survived by 6 great nephews and 6 great nieces.She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Robert John Rathe.
Services will be held Friday June 14, 2019 at 10:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 510 S. 33rd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:30pm at the Kearney Cemetery, 4400 Avenue I, Kearney, Nebraska. Gus is survived by her husband, Larry of Lincoln; daughters, Cheryl Roberts of Apple Valley, MN, Jill (Rodney) Machacek of West Des Moines, IA; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Johnson and Virginia Frazee and sister, Ann Frazee-Riley.
