Forecasters say rain is expected to move into the Lincoln area on Tuesday, with 1-3 inches possible before showers move out of the area on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service posted a flood watch for a wide area of southern Nebraska, including the Lincoln area. It runs through 10 a.m. Wednesday.

At 11 a.m. Tuesday, rain was falling from Grand Island to York on the I-80 corridor.

In Lincoln, showers are likely beginning Tuesday afternoon, with precipitation chances at 90% on Tuesday, 90% overnight and 50% on Wednesday morning. The Tuesday Jazz in June concert was moved to the Bourbon Theatre.

Tuesday's high in Lincoln should reach 76, with temperatures climbing near 80 on Wednesday.
