The new state headquarters for the Nebraska Cattlemen's Association will be located, quite cleverly and appropriately, on Cattle Drive in Lincoln.

Lincoln City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to change street names to make it happen. The council renamed Discovery Drive, in the University of Nebraska Technology Park in the Highlands, as Cattle Drive. The Cattlemen expect to move into their new building on that street next month.

The council changed the name of the current block-long Cattle Drive in northeast Lincoln to Mustang Drive.

The city staff had recommended against changing the street names because of setting a precedent, but said this particular name change caused little disruption to anyone.
