Lincoln's first baby is a 5-pound, 13-ounce girl, born Tuesday at 3:55 a.m. to Leocadia Haleliman and Ndayegamiy James.

Vivian Vumilia, 18.5 inches long, was born at Bryan East Campus and delivered by Dr. Corwin Friesen, of Bryan Women's Care Physicians.

Vivian, who has a sister who is 5 and a brother who is 4, was born on her mother's 26th birthday.

Haleliman, who is originally from Africa, gave her baby a Swahili middle name of Vumilia, because the mom has had some troubles in her life, she said. Vumilia means persevere.

She received a $100 Target gift card from Bryan for having the first baby of 2019.
