Jose Jefferson (LJS file)

A former Lincoln High School and Lincoln Lightning football coach arrested on suspicion of sending threatening letters to his employer was charged Monday with terroristic threats.

Jose Jefferson, 5418 N.W. Fourth St., and Christina Donald, 3015 Sequoia St., both 38, are accused of allegedly sending three racially charged threats to Ameritas Life Insurance, 5900 O St., between Feb. 6 and Feb. 23.

The letters, police said, allegedly made threats toward blacks.

In court Monday, a judge set each of their percentage bonds at $10,000. They remained in jail Monday afternoon.
