The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will confer about 1,600 degrees during commencement exercises Friday and Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The arena will host a ceremony for students earning graduate and professional degrees at 3 p.m. Friday and one for those earning bachelor's degrees at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Gina Matkin, associate professor in agricultural leadership, education and communication at Nebraska, will deliver the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony. Bob Kerrey, former U.S. senator and former Nebraska governor, will give the address at the undergraduate commencement.

Chancellor Ronnie Green will preside over the commencement ceremonies.

No tickets are required. The public may sit in any non-reserved seats other than on the main floor. Beverage stands will be open.

Paid parking, including handicap spaces, is available in Haymarket-area garages and on the street. Pinnacle Bank Arena's north lobby entrance will not be open.

The ceremonies will be streamed at and broadcast live on Spectrum channel 1303, Allo channel 23 and Kinetic channel 1080.

The NU College of Law will award Juris Doctor degrees during a ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday at Hamann Auditorium in McCollum Hall on East Campus.

Nebraska Supreme Court Justice Stephanie Stacy will deliver the commencement address for law graduates.
