A house fire caused more than $130,000 worth of damage to a south Lincoln home Saturday morning, according to officials.
Firefighters responded to a home on the 2600 block of South 12th Street just after 3 a.m.
Fire investigator Ken Hilger said the residents had purchased the home in August. They were making repairs and had been staying overnight at a friend's home while they refinished the flooring.

The home sustained more than $100,000 in structural damage and about $30,000 in damage to the contents, Hilger said.
The cause is under investigation, but Hilger said the case is suspicious and will be handled by Lincoln Police.
